The ferry leaves Brier Island to return to Freeport at 25 minutes past the hour (i.e. 1:25, 2:25, 3:25). The ferry from Tiverton to the mainland leaves on the hour (i.e.1:00, 2:00, 3:00). The ferries load approximately 10 minutes before departure and when they fill up they will take that load of cars and come back for any left behind.

When we went the wait was not long at all. They time the ferries so that when you board the first one for Long Island (a short 5 minute crossing) the second ferry for Brier Island is there waiting so you just get onto that one straight away for another short 5 minute crossing.
